Boarding High School Directory E-mail
Boarding high schools are an international tradition, with European, Asian and American teens participating in residential education programs every year. Families can choose between schools with all boys or all girls, or a coed program. Some schools offer post graduate classes and some schools also offer summer programs. There are sports focused boarding schools, Art schools, Military schools and therapeutic boarding schools, too. Finally, there are boarding high schools with middle school programs, too.

The Delphian School in Sheridan, Oregon has a coed high school program, as does the Dublin School in New Hampshire, the Dunn School in Los Olivos, CA, the Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, MA, the Family First Academy in Erie, PA and the Turning Winds Academy in Montana. A coed school means that boys and girls study together, while living in separate dormitories. The EduKick Academic Soccer Boarding School Academy in Oakville, Canada has a coed Soccer program for students in grades 8 through 12. The Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia also offers a coed high school program, with a religious focus.

Sometimes it's easier for teens to focus on their education without the distractions of a coed environment. All-boys and all-girls schools are popular for that reason. The Dana Hall School in Wellessley, MA offers an all-girls program, as does the Emma Willard School in Troy, NY and the Ethel Walker School in Simbury, CT, the Buffalo Seminary in Buffalo, New York, the Bishop Strachan School in Toronto, Canada, the Brenau Academy in Gainesville, Georgia, and the world renowned Chatham Hall in Chatham, Virginia. For an All-Boys boarding high school, check out the Christchurch school in Christchurch, Virginia, the Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda, Maryland, the Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, Virginia which also welcomes middle school students.

If you're looking for a specialty program, the EduKick Academic Soccer Boarding School Academy in Oakville, Canada has a coed Soccer program for students in grades 8 through 12. The Florida Air Academy has an aeronautical program stat students can begin as early as 6th grade. Idyllwild, California and Interlochen, MI have boarding Arts Academy high schools, where students can perfect their music skills or participate in the dramatic arts, singing or painting. If you're looking for a religious school, the Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy or the Oregon Episcopal School are just two of the many hundreds of Christian and Catholic boarding schools. Some of the religious schools also offer a military or advanced college preparatory program. A boarding high school directory will help you decide which school is more likely to meet the needs of your family.
