| Description: | Gould is a private college preparatory boarding school in Maine for boys and girls in grades 9 to 12. They also provide postgraduate classes for students who want to go that extra mile of learning and preparation before they continue on to college. They provide support for ADHD students as well as those who have learning differences and mild, language-based learning disabilities. Gould Academy aims to provide an excellent academic program that is taught in a way that would help expand students' world view. students are encouraged through activities and classroom interaction to develop conceptual and critical thinking. Students are presented with challenges that aim to encourage them to think creatively and have a love for learning. The school's environment is also conducive to advancing social maturity. Students don't just go there to study but also to become a part of a community and are encouraged to contribute to the betterment of the community they are a part of. The school strives to prepare students to become responsible and exceptional members of society and to prepare them for the world outside high school. Students are also given physical challenges and are required to participate in the school's athletic programs. Students with different levels of proficiency in sports can explore new activities and take part in them. Opportunties not just to participate but to lead and work with a team are always present. The school has outstanding facilities for basketball, baseball, equestrian, lacrosse, nordic skiing, alpine skiing, cycling, golf, and many more.
