Georgia is state located in the southeastern region of the United States. It is one of the top 10 most populous states in the US and it's also one of the fastest growing economies in the US, second only to Texas. Georgia also has quite a few centers for performing arts and museums includng the High Museum of Art, Atlanta Orchestra, Morris Museum of Art, and so much more. Georgia's rich heritage also made it a setting for several notable literary works such as Gone with the Wind. It has 63 parks, historic sites and wildlife preserves which are supervised by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
Georgia's public schools are administered by the Georgia Department of Education, although local municipalities operate the public schools in their school districts. Georgia's secondary school students are required to take an End of Course Test (EOCT) which is a standardized, multiple choice test to gauge the students' learning in different subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, different branches of science, and others. The completion of the EOCT is mandatory for all students and makes up 15% of their final grades. Aside from their EOCT, students must also pass the Georgia High School Graduation Tests as well as the Georgia High School Writing Assessment in order to graduate and earn a diploma.
