| Description: | The core of Choate Rosemary Hall's school mission is to provide students with a rigorous academic curriculum and put much emphasis on character formation. the school has six academic departments which offers traditional core classes but also offers a number of electives that helps students broaden their knowledge on a wider number of disciplines. It also allows students to gain deeper knowledge on areas of interests. The school also offers interdisciplinary courses where students explore courses that are integrated with each other. The school's athletics department called the Worthngton Johnson Athletic Center (WJAC) is equivalent to two city blocks in length. It includes 22 tennis courts, two office coaches, a hockey arena, 13 athletic fields, an 8-lane synthetic running track, a clubhouse, and more. The focus of the school's athletics department is to help students get involved with sports in order to learn sportsmanship, aim for excellence, and push one's limits. Sports is for everybody, and everybody is encouraged to get involved. It's not just for the sports superstars, but also for beginners who want to discover sports. The sports program offers different interscholastic sports like baseball, basketball, softball, track and field, wrestling, and more. Among the many boarding schools across the country, Choate Rosemary Hall is among the top 20 boarding school with the most number of extracurricular organizations. There are several organizations such as Chinese Club, AIDS Awareness, Amnesty International, Any Where Autism Relates to Everyone (AWARE), Arts Club, and many more. The school also has a good summer program where students can enjoy an exciting summer filled with learning and fun.
