| Description: | The Army and Navy Academy is a private military boarding school with a focus on college preparatory curriculum. It follows the University of California academic standards but also integrates leadership training through its JROTC program. The rigorous daily structure, emphasis on discipline and excellence help teach students essential skills in life management. It not only assures that students are on the right track to entering the right college that would suit their needs and goals, it also helps shape future leaders with a strong social conscience and a healthy drive for excellence. This California boarding school does its best in educating and developing young men with good character. Aside from the JROTC program, young boys can also choose from a variety of interscholastic sports such as baseball, footble, riflery, wrestling, basketball and more. Like other military schools, the Army and Navy Academy puts a lot of emphasis on physical fitness and the lessons you can learn from playing sports such as sportsmanship and being competitive. The school also has several other extracurricular activities such as community service, forensics, scuba club, art club, honor council, Habitat for Humanity, and a lot more. In fact, it's one of the schools in the country with the most number of extracurricular activities that students can get involved in. |
