| Description: | The Dunn School is a coeducational college preparatory school in California for students grades 9 to 12. They also have day students in grades 6 to 12. Students are encouraged to attain academic achievement through involvement, hard work, responsibility, and preparation. Dunn's small class sizes enable teachers to foster a good relationship with students in order to support them and their intellectual growth. Students are encouraged to use critical thinking skills through getting them involved in round table discussions as they learn. This way, they're not just able to explore how they really think and feel about the topic, they also learn to respect the opinion of others and gives them a great way to look at things differently. The Dunn School also has several honors and AP classes from Art to Calculus, Statistics and more. It also has several interscholastic sports programs to get involved in like baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, and more. To provide students with a well-rounded education, there are also different activities to engage in like community service, cooking club, book club, Amnesty International, and more. Dunn School also provides outstanding college counseling that will help young people find the best colleges to apply to which will match their interests and future plans. They also have an outdoor education program which is accredited by AEE, allowing children to learn many valuable life lessons taught by interacting with nature and with other people while outdoors. |
