Turning Winds utilizes a proven program that combines various cognitive, behavioral and eclectic approaches with known therapeutic methods to approach the most common problems that at-risk youth face. Therapy is a huge component of the program; there will be regular therapy sessions and one-one-one counseling all aimed to mentally strengthen teens and assist them in finding effective ways in managing stress. After a Turning Winds’ program, teenagers are usually able to re-integrate into their families and continue productively with their lives.
Turning Winds offers various academic programs to ensure that each teen is continuously learning. The school has license and accreditation to give high school diplomas to students who finish the required courses. Students that earn credits through TWAI can also transfer to other schools and carry over the credits that they earned. Turning Winds also offers a college preparatory program, preparation and testing for CLEP, and a college program that is offered Brigham Young University (BYU) for distance education.
